Look what I made

Recently I went op-shopping with my girlfriend, Stephanie from Moobear Designs & OverIt!  Incidentally if you didn’t  know Moobear Designs is children’s clothing with a conscience and OVER IT!?  is for anything Refashioned, Reclaimed and Recycled Accessories.

Well, as I was saying, while we were checking out what we could find I found the fabulous wool.  Blue and Off white and really fluffy and as I have recently learnt how to crochet I thought, being there was not much, I could make a Beanie and below is the result.

I have to say I am rather proud of the end product, my only problem is what do I do with it now.  You see this is new-born size and as my children are 13, 11 & 2 respectively and having no intention to in adding to the gene pool again, I not sure what to do with it.  I do know that I just don’t want to leave it sitting around not getting used, especially after rescuing the wool in the first place.

‘Me-Made-March’

Well, I do love a challenge, so I’m taking up another challenge.  I found this challenge through Peppermint Magazine, an awesome magazine, think sustainability and style and you’ll find both in this magazine.   What is the Challenge you may ask, well it comes from ‘So, Zo…What do you know?‘  and the challenge is Me-Made-March ’11.

The Pledge

I, Rebekah of https://idunhoe.wordpress.com, sign up as a participant of Me-Made-March ’11. I endeavour to wear at least one handmade (refashioned)item (either clothing or accessory) each day for the duration of March 2011. I’ll do my best at any rate.  😉

You can find out more & join up yourself by clicking the link below

I don’t know how well I will go but it should be fun 🙂

A morning with Deadly

My weekly post this week is brought to you by an amazing photographer & her subject.

As I have said on previous occasions my husband is an entertainer, Deadly.  He does it all, he’s a comedian, he juggles, he walks the slack and tight rope, he rides a unicycle and is a bit of a clown too.

Well recently we decided that it was time to update the costume & photos.  Having said everything he can do, the one thing he finds rather difficult is to pose for photos, but with Kathryn of Kathryn Jewkes Photography behind the camera you can’t help but get a great result.
(This is only but a few of the end product)
